This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Sorta get a lump in my throat to look at those pictures.  Just think - there was probably an equally large pile of sheet metal behind Hamtramck, St. Louis, Lynch Road, etc. each year "back in the day...

:scared:

Yeah kind of like the pile of parts that was thrown out by Chrysler about 6 years after the cars we all love were built as well? 40 years from now people will be screaming at how many they wasted.

I hope that is a normal amount of reject. It seem that Dodge is behind schedule and are not offering any delivery dates. They should change the new Challenger from a 2008 to a 2009  :shruggy:

Wait.... is that my 2005 Hemi Ram quad cab in the background there?  That thing should have ended up there instead of me getting it.

Don't be upset.  This does not mean a large quantity of defects nor does it mean that they are ruining cars.  I think its great they smash a bunch of them up in different situations to ensure safety and quality...it's not only good for us but its good for lawsuit protection for Chrysler.

For me, I would feel even more comfortable in my new Challenger knowing that many were crashed and studied and safety was either validated or improved as a result of testing.
Do I have the last, operational Popcar Spacemobile?

Its good they dont sell the defect crap.  They just get melted down and made into new ones anyway.  Dont see what the big deal is.   :shruggy:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I wonder what they do with all the bad engine and stuff like that. In my town, Mahwah,NJ there used to be a ford plant and scattered throughout the woods in some places are old axles, wheels, engines, etc...

I would assume that these days, they'd actually recycle those instead of kicking them out into the back field. :icon_smile_tongue:

My next door neighbor used to work for Crash testing back in late  60s and early 70s.
He says their pull cars where a 68 Hemi Road Runner and a 68 hemi Charger. Both 4 speeds.
They would drag the crash test car up to a predermined speed then release the pull cable, Turn out and let the pulled car slam the wall. Hes got some interesting picrues.  I'll see if I can get them posted.
Lots of wasted cars
