Ok ok so we all know that the new "Charger" is not a real Charger, but I got one anyways.....  It is the metallic blue (it looks charcoal gray/black in some light) No, it's not a hemi!  We will be making it into a Daytona clone...we are naming it Dayclona.....even the Daytona graphic will say Dayclona.....I love it.  I have to say it has a nice smooth ride and smells good too...LOL  MMMMMM new car sent...gotta love it...can't get that in a first, second or third gen.  hahahaha.  I bought it with 7 miles on it, so from the factory onto a truck, off the truck and onto the lot.  We specifically picked this car for that reason.  We looked at a silver one but it had over 100 miles on...test driven car......yuck.  Well, here are a few pics......

Congrats! You'll love the car. It's a 3.5, right?  :2thumbs:

At some point you'll have to come out to some of the SoCal LX outings and hang out!

BTW - is it me or are more and more people buying new Chargers here? We should start our own little "clique"  :smilielol:

thanks..it a great car.....

tell me about the LX club here in San Diego..I'd love to come hang out...

and yeah it is a 3.5L...Sorry no Hemi....

With the lifetime warranty & free tires it can't be beat.  Payments really aren't that bad and we had to add some of the Honda (we were upside down on it) to it.  But otherwise...NOT BAD!

can't wait to upgrade her and take her out.....The kids and I named her Flo after the car from CARS.....(all our cars have CARS names...LOL our Chevy truck is MACK! the Honda was Sally, the other chevy truck was Mater, and if we had gotten the red Avenger we were looking at it would have been Lightning McQueen).

Awesome!!  Anthony is a good squid.  Car looks great and you're keeping it in the big 3.
I like the plans on the mods to a Dayclona so keep us updated.
Did you do the $2.99 deal or take the rebates?

We took the rebates, because they were better and the crap you have to go thru to get the $2.99 gas was ridiculous.  You have to have a major credit card (we don't own one and don't want too), it takes 6 weeks to activate (gonna fill up at least 4 times by then), and like I said better rebate $2,500 vs. $500.

Chris...I took your lead and kept the window sticker...especially when we do the conversion to prove it started as a SE plus car!  LOL  We are such cheap skates...huh!

Nice, those cars are starting to grow on me a little.  Did you get an employee discount?  Here are some of the details on the 2.99 gas deal.  You do have to have a major credit card and it does take like 6 weeks to activate but you are only allotted 12K miles per year (figured on the gas mileage of the vehicle you are buying/leasing) so that probably wouldn't last you the whole year anyways.

Check out below the savings you could receive. For example, based on a mileage estimate of 17 mpg and a yearly allotment of 708 gallons of fuel (2,125 gallons over total three-year program period) you would save:

If gas prices climb to Annual savings Savings over entire three-year program period
$3.50/gal $361 $1,084
$3.75/gal $538 $1,615
$4.00/gal $715 $2,146
$4.25/gal $892 $2,668

Available miles per year based on a maximum number of gallons which varies depending on model. VISA®/MASTERCARD credit card account required. Allow 4-6 weeks for activation. Excludes small fl eet accounts, SRT,® Chrysler Crossfi re, Dodge Sprinter, Challenger, Viper, Ram Chassis Cab and Jeep Wrangler, and all other offers.

Select Program Offer
$2.99 guaranteed fuel card for up to 3 years
Offer valid with up to 87 octane regular unleaded fuel, E85 fuel or diesel fuel only, depending upon purchased vehicle*
Maximum gallons are allocated and limited for usage on a yearly basis
Yearly allotment of gallons provided
Annual gallon allotment ends each year on 7/31 (first year ends 7/31/09)

which is a total joke if you really do the math.. let's say gas stays at $4 a gallon for all 3 years.. you save $2146. now just on the ram for example.. the cash allowance right now is $5500.. so you're losing $3400 up front for the 2.99 gas deal IF it stayed at $4 for 3 years.. if it's less it's even worse.. PLUS if you finance $30k instead of $24,500 for that same vehicle because you didn't take the rebate, that's a few hundred more you'll pay in interest over the 6-7 year loan because you financed a higher amount.. only a retard would take the $2.99 gas deal. but it is an excellent move on chrysler's part

i think SRT's are excluded, just like with every other Chrysler/Dodge promotion (Lifetime Drivetrain Warranty, etc...)

And since all Challengers (till later this year) are SRTs....

I am not sure if this link will work (employee website) but there are a few select vehicles in which you can receive a rebate plus the gas card.  There is also a bunch more info about leases and what not.  This may also only apply to certain states.  Some of the deals are employee only but I think some may apply to the general public as well.
