So my family and i move in two days to the West burbs where i work and the house we bought had carpet in the Living Room and Dining Room.  Being used to nice wood floors in our St. Paul house we wanted the same in this 1963 suburb house.  So i scored some Ash hardwood off craigslist and here i am putting it in.  This is how i spent my weekend while the kids and moma were up at the cabin.

Looks great. I like wood floors, but the wife doesn't. I bring up wood floors every so often and get the look from the wife that tells me no way. Part of it is that she sleeps in the day and our bedroom is in the basement, so she doesn't want to hear us walking around in the daytime.

Hey Paul.  Linda wants hardwood floors here if you get bored, or find idle time, or need to make some gas money for Duluth.

Hey Paul, if you used half as much energy as you done on the houses you've been fixing up that 500 would be mint by now. JK

I have wanted to put down a hard wood floor on the whole bottom floor of our house for the last 5 years. Only problem is that the carpet that we have downstairs is only 6 years old. So we have decided that until the carpet starts showing some wear and tear, we aren't going to trash something that isn't broken.

Nice work! From one contractor to another (your work looks that good!), "where the hell are your goggles?"   :scratchchin:  Them things don't grow back, ya know.  :P

P.S. wear them under the car also...I had a long screwdriver (which I had propped up against a wheel (dumb)  :brickwall: ) fall and hit me right on the 'ole eyeball. Lucky I didn't lose it.

Dan

Oh, and who is taking the pics if your family is away...?   :scratchchin:

Exactly! :eek2:

Man, I bet you were getting a decent buzz going when you stained that thing. :apimp:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)
