How much clearance do you have above the Charger, it looks like it is touching the ceiling. Nice Grand National what year is it?

My ceiling is 10'-1'',there is about 3'' above the charger.Bottom of the runway is 60'',locks are every 4-1/4'',if I were down one lock it would be at 55-3/4'' to bot of runway,GN is 56'' to its highest point of roof,so had to go up one which put the Charger that close. With the stock rims and tires on the GN it will clear at the 55-3/4" lock point.GN is an 87.

I agree.  Dad and I have one and it makes cleaning the undercarriage soooooo much easier.

PS - Chris, the new avatar pic looks GREAT!!!!! :2thumbs:

Well what brand is it then? Looks like a Lifts Unlimited unit but so many companys are making these lifts it's hard to tell.  :shruggy:

Forget the lift, I see some non-stock door handles on that Charger.   :D

You have any close up pix of them, I like the flush handles.

No I wasn't kidding, but maybe I should have said I was to save embarrassment?

Seriously though, I had seen that mod done once many years ago & thought it was a cool idea. I'll admit I never liked it enough to go through whatever trouble it might be to swap, but still kind of neat.

Man, I need one of those some day. I doubt if I'd get more work done but at least I'd look like I knew what I was doing.

Sounds like you guys need to swap doors.  Problem solved.

Wow,  I have been in the market for one of these lifts for years.  First they started off expensive, but now have seemed to come down in price.  Did you buy this lift direct or from a local distributor in your area?  I have wanted one for years, but the wife insists that I finish the house mods first before spending on a garage advancement.  Your my hero.

Very nice Don!

That'll save a lot of dings and scrapes as the children try to get their bicycles out of the garage at playtime!

As long as you have the ceiling height you should be able to. If the existing door is mounted too low, all you need is what they call a "High Lift Door Kit" to raise it. It extends the vertical tracks so that the radius above it & the horizontal tracks are closer to the ceiling.

Dodge Don, nice lift!  What made you decide to get a 4 post lift as opposed to a 2 post lift?  Will you be using it mostly for storage?  I was going to get a 2 post lift because I thought it would be easier working on wheels/brakes and such.  I guess you can do that too if you had a lift jack with the 4 post model.  Your opinion?

No. Besides the door I'm about 3 inches shy to fit another Mopar in there. My daily is a Durango and my wife parks her Minivan on the other side.

The lift was actually my wifes idea!! The distributor is in my town so it was easy. $3500 installed.

I went 4 post since primarily it will be for storage once I re-assemble the car.....keep it out of reach of my kids....although the way they wave around hockey sticks you never know  :smilielol:

They'll be pleased to know that I have two Daughters.

I can picture your boys spending quite a bit of time on my street when they get older as there are 18 houses with a total of 31 kids, all under the age of 10 and there are only 8 boys on the whole street.  The neighbours and I have already started talking about asking the town if we can put a gate at the end of the street in about 8 years.   :scratchchin:
