Wonky Wheel

So I've just started driving my 71 after it sitting for a bit. While making a right turn I heard a clunking sound coming from the front end. Now I think I was hearing a sound coming from the front drivers wheel while driving before. Now I was thinking my wheel bearing might be going. On top of that my buddy said my front drivers wheel seemed to be wobbling while he was driving in front of me and looking in his rear view mirror.

I've just taken the outer wheel bearing off.. Looked at it and realized I have no clue how to inspect if a bearing is gonzo. So what am I looking for before I remove my caliper to inspect the inner bearing?

Or am I off on a tangent here and could it be something else?
