HOw long does everyone wait after a fresh paint job of base/clear to wet sand compund and buff?

It depends on the paint. You should ask the people that mixed the paint how long you should wait.

I waited 60 days.  The vendor told me 30 days but I am lazy and wanted to make good and sure I was not going to screw up all my hard work.

What kind of base-clear did the shop use? Dupont, ppg, etc. In our shop we wet sand and then polish after 48 hours.  You would want a minimum of 90 days before you wax, though. Gotta let the paint breathe!
