We pulled the daytona out today. It started up and ran with no problems. I even got to drive it down the road a few times. It runs like a champ and shifts threw the gears real easy. I took just under 300 pics of it today plus some video that I will be posting on a link. It lloks allot better cleaned up too.  Anyway.  Heres a vide of me driving it down the road.

Marty's coming out tomorrow...  I need to put new belts on him and he's good to roll!

HOPEFULLY I'll be cleaning the B5 car a bunch, installing a boost gauge and boost controller on my 924Turbo, and toying with my '94 mustang GT droptop.

all of this is pending my ability to drag my ass out of bed!  It was a long week at work!

Hey guys.  Here is the link to the page I am building for the daytona. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3086487 I am working on it as we speak. Let me know what you think. Also.  Heres another video.  Jeremy

Nice job with the pictures and everything.   :2thumbs:

Is that normal with the seat belts clipping on at the sunvisor?  I have never noticed that before.

Thanks guys. The car had been sitting in that shop four four years without moving, so it got real dusty. We were all surprised by how well it cleaned up but we were even more surprised by how well it ran. As you can see, I went a little picture happy. But hey, how often does a 25 year old get to play with a daytona?? I think I have been lucky. I Have driven around a HEMI cuda, a V code Challenger R/T SE and now a daytona.  I probably could die now.  NOT REALLY! Anyway.  I'll talk to you later. I am going to be adding more cars threw out today.

Jeremy

P.S. I hope someone form here gets it. I really want to see it restored. Neil said if it does not meet reserve. He will keep it. After it was all cleaned up and he came to pick it up, I think he was having second thoughts.

Funny how important it is for those headlamps to go up and down. Sort of makes the car complete.
I got kind of excited the first time I tried mine and they actually worked.

I am going to say $157,500 :scratchchin:
Just because of the great colour combo and 4-speed....I wouldn't be too surprised if someone paid even more for it.

I'll throw in a guess of $138500.  Without the rust, it would easily go over $150K IMO.   :2thumbs:

Since it didn't meet the reserve, what are his plans now?  Any side deals going on?  Curious minds want to know.  :popcrn:

This is one more indication that the economy is definitely affecting the musclecar market. You guys with those high dollar cars can deny it all day long, but the bids don't lie. The only good thing about it is that it may help me to afford to buy a real bird. I had all but given up when those B-J prices on the birds started hitting the 150K+ numbers. So far, I've seen two nice birds go for the mid to low 85K mark and a couple topping out in the 70's without hitting the reserve. Good for me...bad for them.
Of course, the gas prices aren't helping either.
We've already skipped a couple of out of town car shows so far because the gas was going to cost over a $100 to drive both cudas.

There might be. Thats all I know. I do know that after the auctions that three of the cars sold to people for what the reserve was. the cars being the 70 V code bee, 69 charger R/T and 66 gto. We were definitely disappointed in how little the v code challenger and the HEMI cuda were bid up to. But they are paid for so he doesn't need to sell them.
