my brakes are leaking between the master cylinder and booster, has anyone dealt with such a problem? will I need to drain all the brake fluid?
It's an aftermarket

Rear seal on the master is leaking...if its bad enough brake fluid might get into the booster as well & ruin it....replace the master ASAP!

so I have to replace the whole cylinder? not just the seal?

I have no idea what kind of brake cylinder that is, can someone identify it?

Looked a bit over at Summit, and not ONE with 4-bolt attachment, just 2...

Check www.rockauto.com or www.napaonline.com

That master looks like the 71 & up B body style

yeah, I found similar ones on Rockauto.
Is it crucial to find the exact one? or are there just so many types? My car has disc brakes all around.
on 71 charger, you have a choice between disc and drums, but when i looked at the ones on 74, you only have choices between power/manual brakes.

It looks like the master you have on there now was originally for a Disc/Drum application...  :shruggy:
No it doesn't have to be the same one... but it does matter when it comes to Power verses Manual brake systems. MC's for manual brake systems have smaller bore diameters than power units... Typically 1" or smaller for Manual Brakes.

They work fine....many have used them....just not "correct"
