How do you het these taillight sockets out of the housing?......

How do you get the taillight sockets out of the taillight housings on a 73-74 Charger?  :shruggy:
Having a rough time with this one.......
73' Dodge Rallye Charger 400/4BBL
06' Dodge Ram Quad Cab 4X4 HEMI
15' Dodge Dart 2.7 SXT

and will have MORE rough time. Mostly sure will be imposible to remove on the right way, I mean same way that was mounted.

Basically those sockets are an exterior cup and an interior cup that makes a "sandwich" with housing. when mounted the inner cup is inserted on the exterior cup with the hosuing in the middle and then twisted to get properly fit. just like a bulb.

Rust will make allmost imposible to remove without some damage, no matter if minor. Maybe reparaible

I will try to twist them apart somehow.  :rotz:
I am trying to put in my 71' R/T Tails but they have no wires or sockets. I am going to try and use my 73' sockets & wires.

otherwise you can bend/straighten the inner lip and remove, and when mount on new housing, spread away back the lip to get back on its posittion. I made it on that way once on one of my reverse sockets before I did know how was mounted from factory.Nneed to be made with care because can be broken
