The local LE agencies in my area have recently cracked down on car thefts. They now set up "bait" cars and wait until someone tries to steal the car. They then turn off the engine and lock the car so the crooks can't get out of the car. Since just last month they have recovered 21 stolen vehicles and made 11 arrests and closed down 4 chop shops. I would love to see the expression on those dipshit's faces when they get caught.

 Update:

the civic was found across the bay in oaktown completly stripped,.. curious thing though, though the perps took seemingly everything of value front to back and inside too, they left the hood trunk and both doors, I'da' thunk they'd take those major panels too..  :shruggy:

Anyhow my friend is getting over $8K for that tiny little car, pretty good i'd say for an 8 yr old 200 K econobox... i guess that's why they (and they're parts) are in such demand,... anyhow,..

my buddy likes my 300 M alot he drove it to santa cruz and back last year and discribes it as "Gourmet" and he's told me he's lookin for one...
i think he could find a nice '99-'01 and maybe have change left over...  :2thumbs:
