I have a 74 charger was modified to look like a 71 RT. The side markers were cut (pretty nicely by my standards) and the bumpers were chucked for fiberglass pieces. The whole frame work was rigged up with with welded framework. I am getting ready to do a complete restoration on this car. I've never been happy with the floppy weak bumpers and the front doesn't even look right, but I would like to keep the 71 look somewhat.

What do I need to use the front and rear 1971  bezels but change back to steel bumpers?

If everything is mounted up the way its supposed to be right now, this should be a very easy swap.  I have never messed with fiberglass bumpers so this is assuming they mount up like a stock bumper...

The front bumper should have all the brackets and mounts to hold 71 grilles in place since they are already on your car, so you would just need to remove the entire assembly, and swap everything thats bolted to the fiberglass bumper to the new steel one.

The rear you wont need anything just unbolt the entire assembly from inside the trunk and then swap the mounts over to the steel bumper.
