when i full throttle oil pressure suddenly starts dropping dangerously low  :icon_smile_angry: it feels like the phone ringing while having sex...
When i say full throttle i mean that i continue to give apply more pedal and when i im getting near max throttle it happens...i dont dare to floor it...
It works like a charm for normal cruising..

i have a 440 that is stroked to a 511. i upped the oil pump to hi-vol but im using old standard oil pan and that is without the plate.
before i start spending too much money it would be nice with some friendly advice as to what oil pan would be good for a 511 and is it possible the problem is somewhere else in the engine ?

i also had the advice to not use vacume to pull out oil gasses in the tops hence i have 2 kn filter for vending the top...it kind of feels wrong to me since the engine is setup differently from beginning (that is with the vacume), anybody know for a fact what to do here ?

Hi volume oil pump and a standard 5 quart pan make for a bad combination!

The plate - aka:  windage try  - was used for a purpose...   there might be better ones out there now (like milodon) but there's good reasons for it.

There's several choices of oil pans and systems to choose from.   At minimum you could go for a 6 quart hemi pan and pickup.   Mancini racing has a repro deal that's sweet.

Also for a mostly street motor the pcv valve is a good thing.

Ok great it sound like im definately is changing til pan!!
i think you are refererring to: http://chucker54.stores.yahoo.net/streethemoil.html

It looks great and i guess the windage tray is build-in right or is that a seperate thing ?

Should i perhaps go to an even larger size or should this 6 quarts kit be enough, you sound like its a minimum req.
thnx also for the valve tip, i will connect it again!

thnx m8

The stock pan isn't baffled very well and with an HV pump, no windage tray and only 5qts you are creating a bad situation.  :Twocents:

The hemi 6qt pan is baffled and is fine for that type of build. Use the MP 4.15 stroke windage tray, don't worry it will clear the 4.25 stroke/2.2 rod stroker assembly just fine.  :2thumbs:

Hi
Just wanted to let you know that your advice works super great! Thank you.
I got the suggested pan and tray a couple of days ago....painted it black and put it on today.
Now it holds the pressure no matter what i do also when flooring it... :2thumbs:
