Trying to find out what gears are in my charger.At 55mph My tic toc tach sayes 2200 rpm.Its either 355's or 391's.Its not the original gears and there ant no tag on the chunk.any ideas

What size tires are on the car ? Specificly, what is the diameter ?

The car has  N- 50-15's .The guy told me it had 391's but i figured it would be tacking 3 grand at 55 if it had 391's.I think its 355's.The tach might be off since its 36 yrs old.

sounds like it would probaby be the 355's i've got 373's and it around 2500-2700 I believe at 55

sounds more like 3.23's to me.  I hit 2100-2200 rpm in my ramcharger.  It has a 9 1/4 with 3.21 gears in it.

:iagree: The online calculater is showing 2189 rpm for a 28in tire with 3.23 gears at 55mph.
