Heres another update guys,

Well the wind partialy blew off the cover...enjoy the pics. Will try to get more tuesday with my digital camera (All i had was my phone).

Single exhaust. Rust along the roof line on the quarters. Lower quarters/doors show no signs of rust and paint looks pretty shiney for sitting for so long. Everything looks fairly straight but from where i was standin at the fence is about 30-35 ft away so who knows. Funny thing is the rear window has a sticker that reads "Polytechnic Univeristy" which is where i have been going to college up until this year because tuition was just getting out of control.

Now i want to sneak in the yard and cover the damn thing back up before more people notice it..

Ghoste

The yard looks like a parking lot, get in there and cover it.  :icon_smile_big:

The70RT

Check out the rust. If it has minimal it could be worth 12 but with a vinyl top on it and covered up makes rust thrive.

"Polytechnic Univeristy" .....I don't know about you, but I'd ask for a refund of my tuition money from any facility of higher learning that can't spell it's own name... :scratchchin:

Well.....if someone just leaves the car sit out like that, surely it's not in the greatest shape, and nowhere near a 12K car......maybe 5-6k.
Just my opinion....but then I'm a cheap ass, and find desirable cars all the time that are very affordable.....

Joshua, Dont get my wrong i love my 3rd gen...but i would also love to have a 2nd gen. I would never sell my 3rd gen for a complete project 2nd gen, but if this car is in drivable and just needs some TLC, id sell my car for it. But of course this guy would have to be giving it away.

So enjoy your popcorn for now guys, i have a Calc 2 final tomorrow but will take the charger out later in the day and start ringing door bells asking for the owner.

Im tired of seeing it rot there, and until i bought my charger i didnt care much...now its killing me.

but if this car is in drivable and just needs some TLC, id sell my car for it<--- trust me babe no, you wouldnt

Honestly at first i couldnt stand the car because it was all he could talk about but after a while of hearing about it everyday and now knowing every detail of it i would not let him sell that car unless it would be to me =D

That's it! I saw this car while driving in the opposite direction! lol. This is the one that I told you guys about, thanks for all the help. Joshua thanks for the info. I would like to have this car, but if I don't, I hope you do. The guy who owns the van and I talked for about 20 minutes, he says people stop there all the time, for all I know he was talking about you Joshua. From everything I could see, the car was fairly sound, but no telling what the frame rails look like. From my understanding the car has been sitting for close to 30 years. I'll let you guys know if I find out anything more.

teamroth,

I assume your post was directed to me (Frank) considering joshua from earlier in this thread didn't mention any other car. I reread the thread but i didn't see a mention of any other one.

I'm in no rush to pick up this car considering i cant find the owner and am in the process of beginning to restore mine. If your in the Brooklyn area im surprised we haven't run into each other as i regularly tear up the streets with mine  :icon_smile_big:

Bronzie i didnt forget about your pics, if i have time tonight ill get the bigger ones up for you. Sorry bro.

BTW it was fully uncovered again but by the time i got home to get a camera she had the cover back on...next time ill just idle there with my charger and wait until someone comes out.

teamroth

Frank, my apologies, I don't know where I came up with Joshua. I live in Astoria, but have no muscular Mopar that would have given us reason to run into one another. I hope one day we do though. On a side note, I'm not sure i would give more than three grand for the car, although,  I do drive by it every night on my way home from work. Frank, you ever see any other interesting rides sitting around? On the cars in barns website there is an AAR Cuda sitting in a Queens driveway, or at least there was. Lemme know, maybe we can hang out and search for some hidden gems.

FLG

Definitely man!

I know of a few mopars around here. Ill get some pics when i get a chance. If i remember correctly the AAR was for sale for awhile but might be a different one.

Theres a few Darts around here that im curious about, really one in particular. Looks clean, ive just been wondering whats under the hood. Maybe ill get a chance to look at it sometime soon. Dont know darts so dont even know the year but ill take a look at her tomorrow if i get there before it gets dark.

If you drive by it you prob drive right through my neighborhood or since your passing the car close to it.

I have yet to locate another charger. I know of a few cars laying around but nothing special, a few chebbys, and 2-3 swingers around here.

You may be, it was a red one, that I read was NOT FOR SALE, they were just keeping it because they like to watch cars rust...lol But hey, who am I to criticize?

I found a 73 Duster on CL with 115000 origianl /6. Guy has promised me pics 20 times, apparently he doesn't want to sell it that bad. For 1200.00 bucks, I gave up on that one. I saw a badass Super Bee in my hood, I think it was a 70. There's an El Camino down the block, but I think for the most part it's slim pickins around here, but let's keep each other posted.

What neighborhood you in. I take the the BQE to McGinnis-Humbolt over to LIC every night, and drive by that rotting beauty of a 69.
