Well I have dropped in my 360 in the Roadrunner and sounds great and next day when I got enough fluid in the tranny to drive it off in reverse it doesn't kick in  :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall:. And so I have my buddies push me off the ramp to I can cruise around the block since drive works and it hasn't  ran on any roads for almost 10 yrs I think. So I assume maybe after it's ran in drive for awhile reverse would kick in and it did for that day and now hasn't since in past 2 days. A guy told me to check linkage when the pans off and my teacher told me everything looked good so it was rebuilt but was done wrong I guess.

There should be a spring that is on a power valve directing the fluid to the reverse band. It could have a weak or damaged spring or someone got one mixed up somewhere? Could be a debris clog or other things too. If the linkage is correct then your looking at some work.  :-\
