I need some sense talked into me.

I've been driving the Fury daily for the past few weeks, and I love everything but the gas milage (but I didn't buy it for the gas milage, so I don't really care all that much).  It's big, comfortable, roomy, and has plenty of getup and go for something of it's size.

Yesterday, I got into the Barracuda to move it around the driveway, and after driving the C body so much, the A body interior felt small, and cramped.  I've never felt that way before, and I drove it daily for over 2 years, but now...  On top of that, it's engine is having issues, and I really need to pull it out and rebuild it.  And once I start doing that, I'll start tearing the rest of the car apart, too.  It's probably going to be years before I really drive my Barracuda again.

Lately, the thought of selling it, and putting the money towards the Fury, has entered my mind.  I mean, the Barracuda needs alot of work, is no longer suitable for driving around, and just sits in the driveway, while the Fury has a big block, is more comfortable, and can carry alot more stuff.  But I know that if I sell it, I'll miss it, and it'll be a while before I could afford to replace it.  It's also worth more than the Fury, and is one of my dream cars.  And it has sentimental value.  Still, in the back of my mind, I consider selling it.

Maybe I'm just a little freaked out by the fact that it's going to be a long time before I can enjoy driving it again.  I don't know.  I just need some sense talked into me, so that I don't make a mistake, and sell it off.

I guess ask yourself which car you prefer? can you afford to have 2 cars? do you need the money? if not then keep the barracuda on the back burner also ask yourself how much you like the barracuda could you not get a cheap car to drive everyday? (one that's cheap to run) and keep the c body as your nice weather driver? aslo as you mentioned ask yourself how long the barracuda will be sitting there and if/when you will be able to afford to fix her up.

TruckDriver

That's a feeling that is normal, and that will go away after a while. If you think that is strange, drive a semi truck for 3 weeks straight, then get into a car like a old Ford Maverick, or a old Vega like I did years ago :P

1. Put it up for sale
2. Of course you will want way more than what someone is willing to pay.
3. Once the car doesn't come close to your asking price, have a miraculous turnaround and say that you decided to keep the car because you love it.

It happens all the time.

Maybe answering these questions will help you to decide:

Do you have the room to do the work that you want to do to it?
Do have twice as much room as you think you need?
Do you have the tools, time and skills (or time to learn) to get it done?

For me, those would be deciding factors because given what you've told us about the car, you don't want to sell it off. At least, that's what I read in to your posts.

Personally, I'd do everything I could to keep it, but that's me.

Yea, but I actually wanted to get rid of that car.  Don't miss it, at all.

And has it really been years?

Shakey, even if I sold them both, I still wouldn't be able to afford a Charger.

Oh, God no.  Then I'll really be broke.

Sorry, PT, the Fury isn't going anywhere, as it's my only drivable car right now.

If I do decide to sell the Barracuda, you got 2nd choice at it, RD.  Already told a local guy that he had first crack.

What I need is a better job, so that I could afford to do more to it.  Keep me from losing interest.

I need to get my ass back to school.

You may want to check out Wagonsofsteel.com ? website something like that based out of Vashon Washington . They drag race station wagons and there pretty cool . As far as I know they are the people to talk to if you have a wagon .
