Just signed up today... Thought I'd say hi... I've got a 1966 Dodge Coronet. Original 383 car from California, made it's way to the midwest over the years and I ended up buying her when I was 15. I used to ride my bike past this car sitting in a driveway all the time. It never moved, so I stopped and asked the guy about it. It turned out to have a stock 440/727 out of a 1968 C-body, original 8 3/4 rear with 3.23 gears. It had the typical rust above the wheel wells and behind the rear wheels, otherwise solid.  After a little bit of creative salesmanship, I was able to talk my dad into putting down the $2600 for it. That was one heck of a car for a 16 year old kid, I remember showing the tail lights to lots of fox mustangs, 3rd gen camaros, hondas... A little education in Muscle, if you will. Long story short, I drove it for about a year when I was 16 (2000ish) then I decided it was time to restore it... I got the rust fixed (some of which was done poorly and needs to be redone  :rotz:) and the top end of the motor redone, ported stock heads, hardened valve seats (If memory serves 906's). MP Purple shaft .509 cam, Wieand Team G intake, Holley 750 carb. I never did run the motor after the cam, so I'll have to re-lube that. I also got all the stainless off of an Arizona car... That's where money ran out and It has been sitting in the garage in a sort of half restored state (read: "in pieces") ever since. I'm now in a better financial position to finish her up and I can't wait. I'll be pulling it out of storage next weekend to take an inventory of what needs to be done... Stay tuned for some "before" pics...  I'll So, I'll be the FNG that won't stop picking your brains.

Hmmm... options... Original A/C car I still have all the components too. I think the color is called Pale Yellow?  It's got a seafoam green interior with buckets and console... did I mention it's a 500? It's a hard top with no vynil... When I'm done I plan on the colors being original with a painted black top and a blacked out six pack hood. I know they don't exist, I got a nice hood with a dent right in the center of it and got a six pack scoop from year one. It's the only part of my car that's actually done, it's going to look sweet on there... It's got some 14" mag 500 wheels on it... I'm thinking about some 18" 94 series billet magnum 500 wheel vintiques, but they are spendy...  I don't have any pictures in digital format... sorry... I'll take some soon...
