Anyone own XP29H72268264-I have a title to it

While at the SC DMV to register the 67 Charger I just bought (other post) they gave me a title to that 67 instead of the one I have.  They even gave the plates registered to it too. Trying get the car I bought registered with the right vin has been a real pain trying to deal with them.    Apparently the papers he gave me were for another charger he owned in GA. way back and the bill of sale had the correct vin but they went by the 1985 GA. papers and they won't correct it even though I pointed it out. Got a lot of hoops to jump through  .  I should have checked it closer instead of glancing at the first 6 digits but I should have it straight after couple weeks I hope.  SC is very picky and detailed about getting title even down to using middle initial verses full if its listed anywhere else with either one so be aware of that if your buying/selling out of SC make sure everything is purrrfect. With out of state sales going into SC, someone from the DMV has to schedule and see in person the vin on the car before anything gets done if its not driven/towed to the DMV office in person.  Then if no original paperwork--no title.  Sorry and hopefully no one that may own it really will run into any inconveniences but I'm working on it.
