I wish I had known the guy was gonna sell it so quick because I would have just bought it back. Obviously they made some improvements like the 440 and switched it to console shift.

Do I have the last, operational Popcar Spacemobile?

That's pretty good money for an XP car. Was it a 318 car originally?

I sold the car to a personal owner about 30 miles north of Detroit. Southern Motors the dealership that has it now is about 20 miles west of him also in the Detroit area. No idea who Leroy is. Original 318 car. Kinda looks like crap in those pictures.

Not to bring up an old and possibly bad subject, but why did you sell?

It sure is, and i hope they get it.  I'm trying to sell my 68 for $28k right now and its pretty much identical to that car.

I sold the car on March 1st for $23,000 with a 318 in it. It was also a column shift car but I included everything to convert it over. It is one of the cleanest original panel chargers I have ever seen with beautiful paint there pictures do it no justice at all. When I sold the car it had aftermarket 15x8" Magnum 500s with BFG Tires no idea why they would take those off. Here is what it looked like

For $23,000, I think your car was sold and bought well with the 318 collumn shift.  Its even more desireable now with the upgrades.  :2thumbs: I live west of Detroit (in Plymouth) ....about 45 minurtes from the Southern Motors Dealership-  Hmm, if I only had that much cash......  :P

Yeah...you guys are right..... I get all excited when I see a car like this with a 25K (introductory price).  I wonder how much cash it really takes to be a player?  :scratchchin:  It will be interesting to see what a R/T clone sells for in this market.  If the price was actually $25,799* (the current high bid)  - - It would be sold, Sold, SOLD!

You say clean original panels but it looks like new trunk to me? :scratchchin: LEON.

Paul, how will your '68 be configured for sale? A/C still in it? 440? Seems the price has gone up!  :scratchchin:   :eyes:  Best of luck!

It takes money to make money.  He wouldnt have bought it and upgraded it if he didnt think he could make a quick profit on it.

Yes, we move to Minnetonka, MN in two weeks,  i'll have to meet you up there.  Or better yet, let me PM you my cell phone # and when you are getting close to the twin cities we can pick a spot to meet and drive up in tandem.  Wait, what day are you going?

440, A/C, wheels, everything complete.  I stuck a couple more grand into in the last month and with the weather nice i've been driving it now and am having sellers remorse.  So $28k is the new price.
