What can I use to keep the hose's from sticking?

 First, anyone with a Good answer PM me, about 80% sure I will forget I posted this. Belch You would be having some Cam 2 if your $7000.00 440 went south after 85 miles.

After only 85 miles pulling the Rad hose's and heater hose are a mother f--ker. Took me 10 minutes to get the lower hose off, top was easy. Then I went after the heater hoes on the water pump. After using a 3 foot pry bar said f--k this and had another Cam 2.

I know the quick fix is cutting the hose at the base, and more than likely that is what I will do again. Will need new hose again! Had to cut them to get the 42sick out, well it was in there for around 4 years.

But after only 85 miles, you would think the hose would not be that big of a pain.

Any ideas?

I always put a coating of anti-sieze inside the hoses. It's worked well for me.

I tried a lubricant once and no matter how much i tightened the clamp the hose would leak under pressure. Dint take the risk of a hose flying off under pressure, what a god damn mess that would be !Go buy a hook tool from sears and go work on some real problems, like my Daytona !

The hose hook tool is a great tool Ken.. If you don't have one your wasting time.. Most tool places have them. It's just a large handle, (like a big screw driver handle), with a tool steel twist sticking out of it.. They have a couple of slight bends and a 90* bend.. Gotta get it!! It's a major time and money saver...

 Daytonalo, would love to work on another Daytona, well made in 1969 that is.

Steve and daytonalo , got them off. If the hose have to come off again I will not need the hook tool. It won't be my Charger.

Absolutely......  Never use any kind of grease. It can make the hose slip off and/or ruin a perfectly good hose..

Something to keep in mind. If the hose is so hard that the hook tool doesn't do the trick, cut the hose off and replace it.. Hard hoses are just a hot day away to explode.......

 Well they where sealed tight, that for sure. Guess if I was pulling them off with in 3 weeks of installing them I would not be bitching.

Steve, hose are pretty new, say a total of 2000 miles if that.

Yup,, Ken you NEED the hose hook tool.. It will save you bucks and aggravation...

That's why I use Never Seize. It keeps the hose from sticking and doesn't attack the rubber. I've never had one come off, come loose, or even move from where I put it when I tightened the clamp. I've done this for years on big blocks, small blocks, 2.2s, 2.2 turbos, Jeep 4.0s, Jeep 2.5s, GM 2.8s, Mopar 2.5s, Pontiac 2.5s. I guess that sums up what's been in the fleet over the last 15 years or so.
