Norway is a tough place right now for muscle cars. I saw this on the cougar forum about a Norway owner involved in a crash 2 days ago when some moron went over onto his side of the road....see it always could be worse then it was. http://www.mercurycougar.net/forums/showthread.php?t=36110

What a freaking shame !  :icon_smile_sad: Hopefully you'll be back into fixing it as soon as the shop is repaired.  :pity:

I agree on the sprinkler system....i've been to many shop fires with extensive heat/smoke damage that could have been minimized with a fire supression system in place. Think about it before you reopen the shop.  :Twocents:

Hang in there Arne

The purple 72 is a sad sight as well.

This is sad.

I hope one day, you have the courage to bring her back from the dead a second time. But I'm also very sorry for your loss about your shop. I hope you have good insurance, afterall it brings food on the table and that still comes in first place....

I am truly saddened by your loss...  :icon_smile_dissapprove:

I went thru a similar experience, my '70 was totalled in a trailering accident in it's first outing after a long 5-year resto. It took another 1-1/2 years to restore it again but it was worth it in the end.

I agree with most here, the car does look extremely saveable but will need a lot of work. Especially the interior, that smoke smell & soot gets in everything. You'd be better off replacing everything in the interior.

I wish you all the strength & courage you'll ever need. Keep your head high. Best of luck.

Man - that is Terrible, that is a GORGEOUS car! Keep your head up, it doesn't LOOK that bad, and will take some work, but should be savable. The warping will be rough to fix though!

Sorry about this man.

I can't think of much to say that hasn't already been said.  No one was hurt so that's all that really matters.

If it were me I think I'd let the insurance company see the car in it's present condition versus all cleaned up as painful as it might be having it look that way.  :shruggy: :Twocents:

Truly sorry.

Sorry to see that, good luck getting it back on the road. This is one reason I always disconnect my battery when I am not using my cars.

I can't agree more.  I can't imagine your pain right now after all you put into it.  I am so sorry.

I'm so sorry to hear about this. :'(

I'd followed the progress of your Charger and was in awe of the work you'd put into it. :coolgleamA:

I hope that you're able to salvage a good deal out of this and can once again stun us all.

NorwayCharger

A really BIG thanks to all of you on this board  for your support and understanding
The car has been a major thing in my life for the last years.
Some people have asked me question like "how can you stand working on that car in your free time?"
Sure i do paint/bodywork on cars for a living, but the truth is working on my Charger has been like a recreation for me.
A full weekend of work on the car has worked better than any "free time" on the sofa watching TV :Twocents:

I feel better now than i did a couple of days ago.
Sure the car can be fixed, question is WHEN..
The thing i need to do first is to get the shop up and running, follow my brain not my hart..

Finally came to an agreement with my insurance company.
So the car is to be repaired  :yesnod:
I have ordered some sheet metal from Jeremy at AMD.
Hood, roof skin and right front fender is the part of the car that was most effected by the heat.
But i will be changing both rear quarters and left front fender too.

I have been thinking what i will do, build it like it was... or do it different.
I ended up with different.

And i would like say to Rolf (Suntech)

Thank you for all your support and help

Here are some pic´s, this is the result of acid gas and heat..
