does anybody use a tremec 5sp,with alot of torque?
is it as strong as a 18 spline trans? if not can it be beefed up?
i want to use one in my 70 charger.it puts out 669rwhp.
im mainly going to drive on the street.it also has a 4.10 dana.
will the lower gear take some of the torque off the trans?
i also use 275/60-15,so i get alot of tire spin too.

also has anybody tried passon performance over drive kit for the 833?
they claim its much stronger than a 18spline.also wondering about the r.p.m. drop, with only 3 gears plus od. :scratchchin:

669 rwhp is quite a bit...    but with narrow tires they will just spin...    but if you put slicks on that thing I think its a crap shoot....      the rating is 600 tq but i know people running over that without problems...    they can really take some abuse...       i have assembled the Passon 18 spline kit and it is a cool kit - but it has wide gear splits....    with alot of torque that shouldnt be a huge deal...         what are you going to do with the car ?  race or just drive ?

I plan on running about 650hp at the crank with my hemi - i will be running my existing 5-speed Tremec and i doubt i will be facing many problems....     Honestly - if you are making the numbers you're talking about shit is going to break sooner or later...    you could run a Jericho or something - but driving one on a street flat out blows
