OK, i pulled my new gasket out of the packaging today because the glass guy is coming tomorrow to install the front windshield. Is there suppose to be a small strip of rubber that goes around the gasket to lock it in place?  All i have is the gasket. It is made by Precision inc. and part number WCRD715.

Thanks in advance.

The gasket locks to itself, there is not a seperate lock strip.

The type gasket  is called a zipper. :Twocents:
68 Charger R/t white with black v/t and red tailstripe. 440 4 speed ,black interior

My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............

Yup, what Brian said.  :yesnod:

BnB, that's the same gasket I used when I had my windshield installed. The lock strip is an integral part of the gasket. Once the windshield is placed in the groove & seated around the gasket, one side simply folds into another. There is a little lip that holds the 2 halves together, a.k.a. the "lock strip".

Good Luck!  :2thumbs:
