Hi

68 / 69 / 70 rear tailights.

Basically what I am after is, a picture of the car at night time, from the rear end. (4 pictures only of each model 68-70) And i would like

A: Rear tailights switched on (pic 1)

B: Rear tailights switched on with the break pressed (Pic 2)

C: Rear talights switched on, no break pressed, put in reverse so I see the reverse lights. (Pic 3)

D: Rear taillights switched on, no break pressed, but, break lights turned on (if it had them?) Pic 4.

Of the 68 charger, of the 69 charger and of the 70 charger.

Thanks guys :)

for a while you make it with key in RUN to feed reverse lights but engine off, thats the only way ( unlless engine running but emergency brakes, if REALLY emergency brakes can hold the car )

HUH  :ahum:

unless you record for a video and turn on hazzards ( or one of turning lights ), there is no way to do it

Now Im confused... You cant put it in reverse and have reverse lights showing? wah?

(if you have to do step C and D with the break, then press the break...)

Switch car on if you have to... I totaly dont get it, i will stop trying to.

request C:
yes you can, of course with engine OFF, but key in RUN to feed reverse switch and then lights... just was saying for safety. You can't put reverse and run to take the pic with engine runing LOL. Unless you keep emergency brake AND is really able to hold the car.

Reverse light is feeded from accesories source, so power need to be switched on ign switch

on request D...
how you light on brake lights without press brakes ?

and a plus:
hazzards and turning lights are same bulb filament ( and wires ) than brake lights. That would it be the only way to feed "brake" lights without press brakes, but would it need to make a video... or take the pic on the right moment of blinking  :icon_smile_big:

make request D with brakes pressed is the same than request B  :icon_smile_big:

Now it makes sense.

Got used to new cars that have "break lights" seperate (u can have them on while driving, they tend to be on the sides of car etc)

Thank you!

Well request A B C then and no D...

Still need 68 and 70 charger.

Bring them along!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the outter and center lamps are 1157 type and go dim and bright, whereas the inner bulbs ( 1095 ) are totally different and always stays dim.  Mine are like in the picture and wired for all 6 to use the 1157 double filament.  Looks nice but is factory incorrect.  You can see them in this video.

This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

I have them setup like it's supposed to be, it's just the way the pic came out.  I had the hazard flashers on while I was trying to to take the pic.  I need a camera that doesn't have a delay to get a better picture.  Didn't have someone on hand to hold the brake pedal.
