My 69 charger did not come with A/C, just heat. I want to put in AC and make it look original. Besides cutting out holes for the outlets, is there anything that could be a problem when I'm doing this, besides finding original parts. Thanks in advance for your help.
If God owned a car...It'd be a Charger.

If you dont have a 26" rad, your going to need a new rad support for a 26" rad.

If I were you, I would either try to find a used dealer installed under-dash unit, or go with an aftermarket AC conversion. The factory 68-70 b bod AC box is a terrible pain in the butt. The heat cores are non-existant and require much effort to replace.

I agree. Getting the heater control valve to work is a PITA. I've gone through two of them, but still have to install a separate valve on the heater core to get the A/C to blow COLD.

Not true. They are being reproduced, albeit at a steep price IIRC.

Unless you have the car totally disassembled, installing a factory A/C box is a major undertaking.

Not to hi-jack thread, but since it is basically the same subject I wanted to ask a question.  My '69 R/T also did not come with A/C.  Is there a complete kit that I could buy that had everything I needed to install a/c (I'm not worried if it doesn't look factory correct since my car isn't a show car)?  Thanks!!
