Would it be worth getting an original kickdown setup vs. using a cable, etc.? Have a Holley 750 VS on an Edelbrock Performer on a 383 w/ 727. . . will this cause problems with the stock linkage?

Pretty sure the Performer is safe with the stock linkage, it's the Performer RPM that gives you problems.

I have the Performer RPM and the stock throttle bracket and kickdown linkages wont work on it.

Oops, meant the RPM. Thanks guys. What's the best alternative function-wise? I want this car to work right, no bullshit.

I never did figure that out.  A few people said a few different things when I asked.  I ended up making my own throttle bracket to get me by because everything was so expensive and I was on a real tight budget.  One of these days i'll get the right part but I want to make sure before I order anything.

Get the cable setup.  I have a Lokar one and it has worked great for me but it sounds like the one from Bouchillon is the one to get for Mopars.
