i have a 500"motor it specs:
13.5 cr.
295 cnc indy sr heads
indy dual plane
1000 cfm 4150
tti step headers with,3"exhaust
msd 6 al
msd pro billet dist.
indy r-1 roller cam 272/276  .649/.649
1.6 rockers

68 charger
4 sp.
dana 3.54
dyno 573 rwhp.

i drive mostly on the street.it idles really nice and,has a lot of low end.
my question is,i have a indy cm-1 roller cam. 276/283 .691/.630.
how do you think it would do in the above motor?
also thinking about indy 440-1 325 cnc heads.
do you think this combo would still work well with a dual plane?

like i said i already have the spare cam,so it would cost nothing.
thanks for any advice or tips :-\

Those cams look pretty close to me....not sure it would be worth the trouble to swap them out ?  :scratchchin:

The 325cc heads will take away some port velocity so on a heavy car it might not be the best way to go. It makes excellent power as is....i would probably leave it alone.  :Twocents:

4 degrees won't make much difference but it's hard to tell without knowing the head flow.

Don't know if your Indy dual plane is ported but about 360cfm (which is nonetheless exceptional) is about the max you can get out of one...enough to get you ~740hp. If your heads flow more than that you need a bigger manifold to use it up.

I'd like to find someone to bridgeport mine to fit a dominator, I think my motor could use it and maybe gain a little more up top.

IMO
You won't gain anything swapping away from the R1, on the SR heads. Wrong port.

I'd leave it alone.
