Got the interior put in today, most of it anyways:

Like always, found I'm missing stuff.  Need the clips to put the chrome moldings on the center console, need the bolts to put in the seat belts, need the sunvisor hardware, rear package tray....always something.

Still, making headway.

Man that looks sooo nice with all new interior parts!    Brand spankin' new...and red to boot!

Who did you get the interior pieces from?

Some from Legenday, some from Yearone.  The console is a fiberglass repo by that Stinger company.  The upper panels and dash pads, armrests are alll original parts redone by Just Dashes.  Feels nice to be making more headway.

Every time I've seen this car I've commented on just how beautiful it is.  Are you getting tired of it yet? :P ;D

Did using 3 different vendors for the interior keep the colors consistent?

Just 6T9 CHGR

Beautiful!   Red interior is so striking and yet elegant.

If memory serves, you're gonna have to take out the back seat again to get in the package tray  :(

PS---where are your headrests?    Out getting restored?

Yes it's very nice!

And yup.. the rear seat back has to get out of the way.  There are 2 clips that hold the package try down at the front behind the seat.

Nice superb job Starman! What color is the dashboard by the vents (topside)? It looks quite glossy.

Thx for the compliments guys.   ;D

ALLBLUE - Tired of it yet?   There are good days and bad days as Im sure you know.   Sometimes I feel like just walking away from this thing, it's taken a life of its own by now.   But days like today where I see it coming together are good.   I know once I get this thing done It will be a good day tho.

I did my best as far as the colors, working with pictures and the original parts.   Red interiors are kinda of wacky since there are lighter shades of red along with darker.   But Legendary and Yearone were pretty close.

6T9 - Yeah, will have to take out the rear seat but no big deal...as far as the headrests, I have them ready to go but unfortunately I forgot about the bezels.   It's all the little things that I forget.   So I'm now looking for those bezels, once I get em then the headrests can go in.

4402 - I powdercoated the dash and it did come out kinda of glossy   ;D I like it tho so I'm sticking with it...the color was matched pretty well to the original, just a bit more glossy...lol

The seat belts are ready to go, but my interior guy needs the hardware which I don't have....surprise surprise.

So for now I'm shooting for the Fall Fling as the finish date and the unveiling...(crosses fingers)

Looking great Starman!

It is nice too see another red interior coming back to life. I know from experience the red color matching is difficult to say the least.

Keep up the good work.

Starman, I know what you mean about taking over your life. My 69 Charger has been fighting me every step of the way.

I had to step back a few day and ready to tear her apart again. (85 mile 440 went south) but, when they are done it is well worth the effort.

Great looking interior.

Was attempting to put the exterior door handles on today, got it jerry rigged with a string right now......but then found I'm missing another part, surprise surprise.  The link that goes from the handle to the locking mechinism....anyone know where I might find one?

CUDAKEN...holy crap man, that sux.  What was the problem with the 440?
