That's a big bargain, I can't wait until I see the infomercial for them at 3 AM when Jack La Lane plugs his juicer into the cigarette lighter.

You can't compare the Challenger to the KR Shelby or ZR1 Vette.  You can compare it to the Mustang GT or new Camaro, but the other two are in a  whole different class.  For what they can do numbers wise, they are cheap compared to their overseas competition.

Sports cars are mostly done evolving for now.  Until we make some major jump in auto technology as a whole, people are just paying for exclusivity with those sports cars now.

A Corvette isn't much worse than a Lambo or a Ferrarri anymore.  The 'Vette just costs 1/3 as much because GM also makes a zillion other vehicles to spread out the drivetrain/hardware costs, unlike the Italians.
