I just put my engine in the car and put all new studs in for the exhaust manifolds when it was out,  I was tightening up the last nut on the pass side exhaust manifold where it is really tight (440)  and it pulled the stud out of the motor..... :brickwall:  What the hell do I do know? I tried running a 3/8 tap in the hole but its too loose now.. :flame: Thanks for any mcgiver ideas

If you want to do it right, remove the manifold and put a Heli-coil in the damaged hole. What I would probably do is take out the gasket if you're using one and the rest of the bolts will hold it straight enough not to leak. My truck is like that and doesn't leak.
If it ain't broke, fix it 'till it is.
