I thought somebody here might enjoy this.  I think it's pretty neat.  I never knew Dodge was into making boats....

Not only did Dodge make boats back in the day, Chrysler made boats too.
And as recently as the 1970's they made some AWESOME Scat-pack inspired rides!!

I was up in Cape Cod a while back and saw a few Chris Crafts - way cool.

The Chrysler 105 outboard was probably their biggest dog and I believe it the basis for the Force 150, another piece of crap.

NMike

a friend bought a steel crank for his 440 a couple years back. perfect, polished, factory sized. $50. after running his engine with a major oil leak from the rear main he figured out why it was so cheap. the hash marks at the rear main seal are machined the other way. in a boat it turns backwards, in a car it PUMPS the oil out of the engine.

All of this stuff is really interesting!  I loved reading about the inboard engines and those Charger/Scat Pack boats are outrageous!

The Kid

That's awesome. I love those old wood boats. My uncle used to have an old '59 Chris Craft that was perfect. He yanked it out of the water, fully restored it. God was it gorgeous :2thumbs: ! The inboard 454 didn't sound half bad either :drool5: .

I've wanted to pick up an old used boat for a while. The old Chrysler's show up all over the place usually for under $2k. First I gotta get me an old Mopar, then maybe a boat...

Hmmm, How about vacuum cleaners.  My neighbor gave me this old vacuum for the garage.  He thought it would go with my cars.  It was made by Dodge Corp. Small stcker says Dodge Corperation Moncks Corner SC.  Only thing I ever got from Dodge that really sucked ;D.   Ever hear anything about these?

That's awesome!  I gotta get a pic of the A/C unit in my apartment when I go back to school.  It's a vintage Chrysler Airtemp unit.  It's got an emblem like the airtemp ones for our cars hahaha

Ghoste

My wife and I once lived in a building where all the ac units were Airtemps.  I've never heard ofthat Dodge vacuum cleaner though.

Khyron

of course they made lots of boats.... take a look at the "C" body line-up ;)
