Just 6T9 CHGR

Not necessarily tacky but downright foolish IMHO.....put one in your '78 Datsun B210 if you want to cut a hole in something..

Unless you were grafting an original power sunroof assy to your roof then maybe :scratchchin:

First rule of thumb with collector cars....what would the factory do? :scratchchin:
Personalizing your car is one thing, cutting a hole in the roof is downright stupid. :slap:
Unless of course, you're putting in a factory sunroof.  :2thumbs:
Which is a lot more work than just cutting a hole. :eek2:

Sure. Try Wildcat auto.
Or post a wanted ad here, or on Moparts.
But please...no glass sunroof in an R/T. :eek2:

I looked at a 67 Ply Satellite a couple of years ago, it was painted Hemi Orange (Decent Paint job), and had a 383, 4-speed, and also had nice interior, and wheels and tires. Really nice driver, for 3 grand. The reason I passed on it was the fact someone had installed an aftermarket sunroof, and I just couldn't get over how tacky it looked.

Aftermarket sunroofs are notorious fore leaks. They were back then & they are today. I wouldn't do it unless I liked sitting in squishy seats whenever it rained.

Now one of these fine looking sunroofs is a completely different story. Guaranteed leak free & these things just scream cool! :coolgleamA:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

That expired yesterday. :D

I'd be willing to bet that 99% of the people who see your car will be thinking "What was this guy thinking putting that sunroof in?"   :brickwall:

Any kind of aftermarket sunroof will never be an improvement to it's value on an old car. You might love it, & that's what really matters, but you better have thick skin if you go to cruises & shows with it. I'm another one who doesn't like them, but I would never tell someone that their car is a POS if they had a sunroof. It could always be removed & put back to stock, but you'd have to take a huge hit in the car's value. If it's a nice car that was worth $30K & you put a sunroof in, I think you'd probably lose at least $10K off the value if you wanted to sell.   :Twocents:

Funny, that was such a common thing to do to a car back in the 80s (a pop up/out sunroof) but you never see any today on cars. Could be that those cars didn't survive!

I had a 74' cuda with a pop up sunroof in it and had a real hard time selling it a few years a go because of the sunroof.  Nobody wanted to deal with trying to patch the hole in the roof.

I have one in my Yota, and that's enough for me. I wouldn't even consider cutting a hole in my R/T's roof. Nope. No way.

Goodz

Well, I think it's completely up to you.  The guys here know what they are talking about when it comes to the value of your car in a selling market.  If you are 100% sure you want to keep the car and never think about selling it, I say do whatever makes you happy.  That's what I am doing... that is, until my GF yells at me and tells me I cant get blue rims and neons to match the blue paintjob we are going to get.  She said she would kill me.  Ultimately, I decided that I like living more than I wanted cool blue rims and neons.  GF HAPPY = GOODZ HAPPY.  LOL

Seriously though, do what you like if the value of the car isnt important to you.  If the selling value IS important to you, listen to these guys 100% !!!

:iagree:

Lemme get this straight, you wanna cut a hole in the roof to put in an aftermarket sunroof?? On an R/T?????   :scratchchin:  :eek2:  :loser:
