A beautiful Charger, 440 6Pack, loaded to the nuts.
But notice the 22 inch radiator.  :scratchchin:

That thing is fricken' awesome :drool5: !

What do think it's going to go for? $100k :shruggy: ?

UFO

No "26" on fender tag, also no performance pkges.I would have to check but I don't think the 6 pack option included the big rad.

How comne no one is noticing the hole in the roof? :nana:

Thats one of the block of 5 or 6 V2 sunroof 6-pack cars made for the auto show

Hopefully Chris or Don can chime in on the spec

I dont think Ive ever seen a "show car" tag on one of them before.....damn nice car though

Well, well, well.
I finally get to see her.
Also looks like it'll finally silence those who said there wasn't an EV2 SixPack Charger at the Chicago Auto Show.

That my friends is a dead on twin for my '70 R/T SE EV2 SixPack sun roof/luggage rack Charger.

Chris, do you know the VIN for this car?
It's tough to make it out from the pix.

*edit*
If it's 933, then my car is the next in line (she's 934).
932 is owned by a fellow named Steve and is awaiting restoration.
Also, the rest of that tag is an exact match for mine.
And it would explain why I have the extra screw hole where the 'Show Car' tag would have been.
*edit*

And there were more than 6 of these things all made at the same time (sequential VIN/order #s).
One was at the Chicago Auto Show, and the rest went out to the highest volume Dodge dealerships as floor/display cars for the '70 model year.

With a little bit of searching I've found that there is a string of matching EV2 SixPack sun roof Chargers stretching from 932 to at least 941.
Even have a copy of 933s build sheet I got from Galen.
So far it's the only that still has/had a build sheet found with the car.

I've tried to get MCG interested in the story of these EV2 SixPack sun roof Chargers, but they don't seen to care.

Either way, it's cool to see what my Charger looked like originally.

Hahaha, always willing to oblige:

She's nowhere near as nice (or restored), but sits as she has since being painted after the 3rd owner removed the vinyl top and luggage rack back in '85.

Here's a pic of 932:

A pic of 941:

Chris G.

Definitely an awesome set of cars that rolled down the line together. Also notice no radio code on the car. I am pretty sure they all came that way. Like UFO mentioned, the 22" Rad was normal on any 6pack auto car without an axle package. The show car tag is the only one I have ever seen. I am not sure if that is real or not. It seems like adding special tags are the thing these days.

The car is being shopped around at Mecum and it was also at Russo Steele I believe. I am sure they want a ton for it, but who wouldn't? I love those sunroof Chargers.  :yesnod:

Thanks everyone!

Chris, mine doesn't have the 'Show Car' tag, but if she was one of the ones that ended up as dealer display models I guess it wouldn't.

Truth be told, after I found out the history on my car, I've wanted to try and track down as many of the remaining 'sisters' and find out how/if they've survived.
How freakin' awesome would it be to see just two of these sweet '70s Chargers sitting beside each other?
Let alone 3 or 4. :2thumbs:

There's gotta be a way to light a fire under MCGs ashes about these cars. :shruggy:

Anybody got any connections?  :D

Well, if you have that extra screw hole, that should answer that about the show tag   :scratchchin:  The ad states original show tag.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Rechecked today, and there is no hole.
Just a lump that turned out to be rust.

Tag matches though.

The Mecum car's order number, vin and build date (August 2nd, 1969) are the for the car built immdediately before mine.

Yep, mine was originally a 22", but someone swapped in a 26" somewhere along the way.

I did make it to the show. :yesnod:
