I am looking at buying a 68 GTX located in NY state. The guy selling says he trade/sold it to a guy who now lives in Florida that owned this, a dart, and a nice 70R/T Charger. This car should be a good deal, BUT the guy selling the car is in Iowa, and known to be a bit of..not a scammer, but not necessarily known to fully divulge all the info... Anyways, he's selling from Iowa, the car is in NY. He says the car runs and drives, is a true GTX and is rdy to paint. Here's the issue: no pic of fender tag, no pic of passenger side, only one interior pic. All said and done he only has 7 pics of the car, and has never seen it in person. He doesn't even know what he bought.

Basically, is this NY native and new FL resident "Jesse" with a 70 r/t on these boards? If he is I'd love to ask him some questions....

That was a hassle to read about, I can't imagine actually having to deal with these people and give them money. Turn around and don't look back.

I have gone down that road with a guy in oregan on an RT/SE, had the check in hand and drove from Colorado to get the car, when I got there it was all I could do not to turn this dude inside out. My :Twocents: just walk away.

The guy refuses to give up a pic of a fender tag, or even drop the zip code of the place where the car is being stored. I just hung up the phone at that point.

who ? what ? where ?  :scratchchin:

why bother ?  :shruggy:

ive read instructions in korean by mistake that were easier to figure out than that . why would you even bother to think about buying a car that you would have to bring back LEWIS & CLARK from the dead to find out exactly how to navigate across the USA to buy a 68 GTX .  :slap: ::) :shruggy:
