A garage ... finally!

I've been a garage-less apartment dweller for the last 6 years.  Well, I've had a parking garage at the last two, but I never keep my car there - I'd have been a nervous wreck.  I kept it at a secure location.  So, what with the housing market being total crap around here, I found this fantastic garage and it happened to come with a descent house too, and the price was killer.  I almost feel kind of bad for the seller losing $ but it wasn't a foreclosure, so nobody is out on the street.  Now I can take the car out whenever the mood strikes me, like today when I drove it to work - don't tell Hagerty.   :D

Congrats with your buy. Bummer for the seller, but sad enough for some; that's life...

Cool! Now you can start wishing you had a shop. :icon_smile_big:

Thats a good size one.  My house was listed as a "two car" garage but the new two car garage size is way too small for two cars. I can fit my car and then the kids bikes and thats it. Not even any room for a work bench.   I hate new houses, they are nothing like the construction you can find from the 50's or 60's.

You are a true car guy, no pictures of the house.  :icon_smile_big:

Is the garage already too small?  :popcrn:

A large garage (and a house that comes with it) is a great thing.

My first house was pretty small (see photo), but it had a 3 car garage on a city lot.    Exactly what I needed.

Yeah, I'd like to put a 4-speed 71-72 Plymouth next to it, but Citibank has first dibs on my cash for a while. I know what you mean, Hutch, real-estate people bend the truth.  I saw a listing and it said "3+" car garage so I drove by and couldn't find a garage anywhere and none of the houses on the street even had driveways!  I found a back alley and their so-called garage - it was 3 walls almost falling down and you could fit, maybe 3 mini-coopers in there.  It looked like something people tied up horses in 100 years ago.   :slap:  Most car-holes nowadays are maybe 20 feet deep, if that, which gives about 12" on either end of a Charger.

I really got lucky with this one, the guy re-modeled it so he could flip it, but got stuck in a collapsing market and it sat empty for nearly a year.  It was the same feeling I had when I found the Charger, like, "Why hasn't anyone bought this yet?!?!?"

Very nice dude! It looks so mean tucked into it's resting spot.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I've always wanted a shop to play in.  Right now, my garage is so full of parts for my 69 Charger restoration (along with the car) that I don't have room to do any work in it.  I need to move.
