 hello fellow charger obsessed! :2thumbs:

so i'm 16 years old and i have loved muscle cars since i was at least 9.  never thought i would get into restoring them, but hey look @ me now  :cglow: haha...anyways, i am privileged to own a 1972 charger topper. it was given to me by my uncle in hopes that i would restore it back 2 how it was when he bought it...he gave me the keys under those conditions...and i intend to make good on that promise with all of ur help...i hav buried my head in every book, magazine, forum and car show i can and i've amassed a good deal of info so far, but the more i kno the better...so thanks for the comming info i'll receive and i'm looking forward to learning even more...

thanks so much guys...maybe people are getting these cars @ alot younger age then i thought...50 yr old men  :2guns: 4 these cars haha...anyways...i'll b hitting here @ ton...lookin 4 some great info on stuff...thanks... and believe me, gas isn't half as bad in NH...lookin @ $3.20ish a gallon...still awful compared the day when my car was sold haha but what can you do :pullinghair:

ok so my 1972 dodge charger topper was in a barn 4 thirteen years and i'm pulling (well not actually pulling) it out soon.  but its got 318 w/ a 727 torque flight which i hope 2 pull topps of 475-400 HP out of it  :drool5:...rather ambitious but do-able (saw a mopar muscle mag article on it)  my buddy has an loaded M3 so i kno i wont have the fastest car in the class but it'll still haul.  the interior is gonna go back to mostly original w the exception of audio stuff and possible some other do-dads...exterior is in pretty good shape, some rust on the rockers and quarters but who never had that issue right haha...right now it GF3 (Fiesta Green Poly) but i'm thinking of going like rally green or something...maybe something more metallic...got alot of time to think about it... :think: ...i'm not super bent on bringing it back to original but i want it to look sick and fly so... :stirthepot:...who doesn't tho right...the biggest stuff is going to be mechanical...thats where most of the attention is needed, but thankfully its not 2 hard and parts are everwhere...kno whats not everywhere? cash...so its gonna be slo going but i'll enjoy it all the more :boogie: haha

but good thing i found some knowledgeable charger fanatics!!

Sounds like a nice car. 400-475hp will be much easier and cheaper with a 360 instead of a 318. Also it is easier to read typing that isn't shorthand.

:sorry: the shorthand is a habit...and faster, hence shorthand...anyways, i'll do my best to not let those comments get to me haha...everyone needs some  :boxing_smiley: to keep them humble
down to business; since i'm not an "everything must be original" kinda guy, getting rid of the 318 isn't a huge deal, but if you think it'll be cheaper & put more horses on the ground then i guess its just a matter of finding one in decent shape...how involved of an operation is it, to switch em out?

that was supposed to say 375-400 HP, my bad...
