Congrats DCG.  that is a real good looking set.   one more thing that you can cross of your wanted list.  whats next, a bulge hood?

Basically, all I need is the buldge hood (a R/T hood is would be perfect ) And eventually a rear bumper unless the ding in mine can be straightened and a sure grip rear end. I eventually will also need all the air conditioning stuff under the hood too cause it got tossed a long time ago by one of the owners   & front and rear spoilers.

The end of Febuary when I get my taxes back, it will be delivered to me. With my crazy long work hours right now and my friend who I bought it from, (He drives semi over the road), we both agreed that would work best for both of us. He wants to clean it up inside and a do a few other things to it for me too. I will have it brought up in a enclosed trailer too then instead of a open one. That's why I am going crazy getting the misc. parts I want right now. You from Wisconsin too Daytona R/T SE? If you are, I may have to come over and get you drunk, and talk you into selling me that hood and stuff

Those wheels look great, IMO.  And I REALLY like the hideaway headlights and hood.   The whole car actually looks pretty hot.

I'm in southern Illinois, bring on the beer, but let me warn you, it's been tried before   I'd love to have that car from Arizona, My first charger back in '82 was a 72 SE.   Like an Idiot I sold it, two weeks later the guy totaled it   I'll find another one, someday

still have my 72 charger se that I bought in 1980 from the original owner.400/727/2.73 rear...aztec gold keystone classics.just repaired therear window rot (real pain having to have a custom piece made)...wolf

i bought a set of se tail lights off e bay a month or so ago,i like the r/t ones but not the price tag that comes with em!i am also looking for a bulge hood,but ill be damned before ill pay 2000 for one,ive bought whole cars for less than that,which is my hope (if anyone has one to sell let me know!!!)

Anyway, This weekend, I am going to this guys house to pick the lights up. I guess his '72 S.E. is in the barn he said. Sounds to me he lost intrest in the car. He said I can look at it. I will take the camera and get pics if he lets me. He said he got it tore apart, but hasnt touched it for years now. May he will sell it cheap.

Did you change the tail lights in yours? Those are the same lights in mine. I though all S.E. lights has the crome bezels and the crome around the housings.

Nice to see all these 3rd gens. Nice cars guys. Sort of high-jacking the thread but what I like is those louvered inserts the R/Ts had. How did they fit in the hood? Could you get one to fit a standard bulge hood? Anyway, somewhere here should be a picture of my '72.

Look up near the top of this post at the pictures of the '72 S.E. someone dressed up with Super Bee decals. That is exactly what I want mine, spoilers and all, to look like but I am going to use R/T decals. Hemi Orange is the way I am thinking, but it is not a positive either yet.
