for a manual steering and/or power steering just by looking at them?  I think the one on the right is for a manual steering due to the length... your guess?

I think you're right.  I also think you're going to get scratches on the Shelby.  ;)

IMHO I think the lenght makes no the REAL diff, is the steering coupler ( what you don't have ) with bigger diameter stud hole to Manual boxes.

I mean, maybe you can get a diff car shaft with powered steering with same lenght than that longer shaft supposelly to Manual steering, but simply the fact about change the coupler will make Manual or Powered setup!

That's ok, looks like it could stand a new paint job anyway.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

The longer shaft would be required for the manual steering. You will also need the manual steering coupler, larger diameter spline as Nacho stated. I have converted the power steering shaft and coupler over to a manual style set up by welding the manual coupler to the bottom of the power steering coupler and then reassembling the coupler between the shaft and steering gear. This has given me the missing length required to convert from power steering to manual steering. I have not went from manual to power steering.
Actually I think Flaming River can supply the needed parts to go either way.    Kyle
