The first car show of the season is coming up on Friday and my top needs a good cleaning. Any suggestions...?

You could try some Marine Spray Nine. I use it on my boat seats and it takes any stains right out and, at least on seats, it doesn't harm the vinyl. Then I use some Marine Spray Nine Brand Vinyl conditioner/cleaner and it comes out great. Granted I have only done this on seats, but it works. I would test on a small part of the roof first though.

Cool deal. I shall try some of that. Can you buy it at Wal-mart or the like?

I have used Meguiars Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner (think it is #39) and then followed by their #40 Vinyl Cleaner and Conditioner and it keeps my pearl white top nice and clean.  Even gets out the black spots caused by diesel trucks that pass me on the highway.

:iagree:   100!!!!!!

Well... OK maybe only 50%. The Meguiars Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner is GREAT stuff, I use it on my top as well. Notice Brian & I both have WHITE vinyl tops on our cars (my '70 has a white top).

However, I like to follow it up with a vinyl top treatment called RaggTopp. It's specifically made for vinyl tops. This product works GREAT, is not too shiny, & lasts a long time. It won't run off with water, & doesn't stain. I haven't found it in stores, only at swap meets & online ordering. It's a little expensive, but worth it. I use this method on my '68, too. They also make a treatment for fabric tops.
