are you dumping the a/c?

Yes and no. I will not put it on this summer because my heater box needs some work. So I am going to take my heater box out and get that redone. And then next winter I will put the A/C back on.

Here was my '69 white black top/int. 383 auto console. #8 charger I had at that time out of 16 or 17 so far.

OH MY GOD! My old '69 Charger was also White with the Black vinyl roof. These pictures take me back to the mid '80's when I owned mine. I want another one so much! Nice ride. :2thumbs:

I know this is not nearly as exciting as Mikes Daytona pictures, which is really a sweet car by the way Mike, but I am pleased how the car has turned out. The only thing not finished are my racing seats. I am having them custom upholstered, and they are not finished yet. I am not sure if I will be keeping the car. I am really missing a black car, and I do not want to paint this car black, when it already has beautiful paint. The engine and transmisson were pulled. The engine compartment blasted, painted and the engine detailed. New 2 1/2 exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. New Boyd wheels with Nitto tires. New Redline dash. New carpet, front seats, seatbelts and buddy seat. And the car was lowered 1" in the rear and front. We wet sanded and buffed the crap out of this thing too. Most of the trim was also removed to be buffed and polished.

The first couple are before pictures,  as seen on page 1 of this thread.

Here is the biggest improvement.

The engine and transmisson were pulled, engine compartment was gutted, and the engine compartment sandblasted and painted. A lot of work went into this engine compartment, but worth all the hard work. It gave me a chance to brush up on all my bad language.

If I keep the car, the A/C will go back on this winter. But I will probably go with a after market kit. That big ass compressor is to darn ugly sitting on that engine.

Nice & clean, I hear ya on the bad language, firewalls do that to me too.

Man, that looks great!
The valve covers & air cleaner definitely look much better painted like that, than they do wrinkle finished.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?
