As some of you know I purchased another Charger at the end of last year. I purchased it in Southern California and had it delivered here in Indiana. It is a 39,000 mile SE 383 car. The body and paint are as clean as I have ever seen. The interior is also very nice. The engine compartment on the other hand was terrible, but I knew that when I bought the car. Here are a few pictures the the day it arrived. The rest are from when I started tearing into her within the last couple weeks.

The engine turned out very well I thought. I was pleased. I have stripped the engine compartment of everything and will paint the engine compartment this weekend I hope. I will post more pictures then. I have my new wheels, tires and exhaust waiting off to the side. I wanted to get the hard stuff done first. The A/C will stay off for this summer while I get my heater box redone. I will put it back on for next summer.

I was hoping to just clean it up, but it needed paint. We stripped everything out of it and sandblasted it today. I know I would kick myself later if I did not paint it.

I just painted them with Mopar Performance Street Hemi Orange paint, let them set for a week, and sanded down the fins with a electric sander until the bare aluminum came through. I was going to junk them originally, but gave this a try. And I think they turned out good.

Yea, that is the stuff from Eastwood. I did some reading on here that the stuff works well, so i thought I would give it a try.

As far as the carb I have a new Edelbrock Endurashine 600 I will be running. It came with a Holley, but I will probably just sell that one. I was never to good at dialing in my Holleys.

Awesome charger! I had the twin like that years ago. I almost thought you had the car till I remembered its in the Netherlands now. Charger NL knows of the car. Its going to be a DOH clone sadly. I'll drop a photo of it later tomorrow, mine also had the 6 way drivers seat from factory.

The ralley rims that you switched to look good. When I do my white 70 RT I'll be using the original wheel covers.

Thank you, but to be honest I have 17" and 18" Boyds ready to go on the car. I sold the magnums that were on it. These are just some wheels I had laying around to put on the car until my Boyds arrived. They came a few weeks ago, and will be going on the car very soon. I just want to get the hard stuff done first.

Nope, no engine work. They engine ran strong when I pulled her. She was just ugly.

Thanks. . No you do not see a lot of white 69's. I am not to sure how I like it yet. My wife likes it, but me    I will see when it is done. Who knows I may pull the engine next winter to shoot the car black.

Nice work Chargerboy....the engine looks great.

One word of advice ; get a PCV valve on the driver side valvecover before you fire the engine up.....it's important to vent the crankcase adequately or you'll be blowing seals and leaking oil.
