The local NAPA store can only find one as far back as 72,  is the third gen charger pitman arm the same as the second gen pitman arm? any help would be appreciated.    :popcrn:

The power steering pitman arm for a 69 Charger is a Rare Parts Inc P/N 20101.  Autozone has it.  I don't think anybody else has this part (or any other manufacturer).  I don't know if the arm for a manal steering box is the same or not.

I only saw the one number in the 69 parts book but it wouldn't be the first time I read that thing incorrectly.

Ghoste i tried that number today at NAPA and no luck. thanks anyhow.

Well the Chrysler part number wouldn't really help you with the NAPA part number though.

They should have an interchange list for their suppliers though.

The Power steering and the Manual steering are the same.

I work at a NAPA store and I checked the computer and they also show part number 20101 so I think it should still be available. I was a counterman for about 10 years and now adays it seems like if you need parts for something old or obscure  alot of these new counterman will look in their computer and if can't find it they will tell you that its not available instead of doing some research and digging into the old dusty books, and  also never throw away old books!

Installing my FirmFeel stage 2...  which is the 73 up large sector (ie: large output shaft)  for which I got the newer cheaper 73 up pitman.   No noticeable difference in shape or bends between the 2,  just the size of the splined hole.

That pitman arm is available from Moog.  It's a K7076.  Costs about $50 from RockAuto.  I realize you know this but thought I would post the info for others.

I will say this the NAPA that I go to only has one gentleman that will look anything up in the books they have on their shelves. 90% of the time I go there with a question on something they look on the computer and tell me they don't have it in stock. Then he walks up with the book, looks it up, and then proceeds to tell me how long it will be before they can get one shipped in.

This is why I haven't been in NAPA in a while. It's the exact same thing here. There is one guy left who still looks in books and he really does try to help. But he's going to be retiring in a year.

They just keep getting dumber and dumber behind the counter.
