Hi

Anyone got a little video capture of the 66-67 Charger electroluminescent gauges at night switched on?

Would be appreciated.

Never understood why they went to the green on top light in 68, it definately didnt look modern... :shruggy:

i suspect it was a lot cheaper to produce that conventional ralley guage package for several different models i read the conventional rear seat saved them 25 bucks per car, might not sound like much now, but do the math by multiplying it by the numbers produced,..
They had to save money somewhere cause the Charger was a totally unique body and not one body panel interchanged with any other B-body. All those new tools and dies cost several fortunes, concider what the second gen charger would be if it was a '68 coronet with hidden headlights and a fastback...  :scratchchin:  :eek2:

What are you talking about... They didn't have to retool... they just went to the nearest GM plant and stole all of the spare Corvette dies :insertsarcasm:  :ohhthesarcasm:

:sorry: :sorry: :sorry:  Sorry, I just like to rub that small piece of history in there once in a while

Yeah, I know, it's a crappy picture but....

Brock, just to make sure I'm understanding you, you aren't implying that the 66-67 Chargers are just Coronets with hidden headlights and fastbacks are you?
