Anyone use Custom Auto Sound 4x10 Dual Voice Coil Speaker?

I'm debating on ordering the Custom Auto Sound dual voice coil speaker for my dash of my 69. But, I was wondering if anyone is already using one of those speakers? I curious of the sound quality of the speaker. I want to install a kick a$$ stereo system, but my options are limited, due to the fact; I don't want to hack up the doors and door panels. Well, I would if I could make it look tasteful. I have sent out my Am radio to have the am/fm ipod and amp conversion from Tayman Electric, so in the meanwhile I'm trying debate whether or not to use the 4x10 DVC speaker. My reasoning is that, I don't want to use a "low quality" 4x10 for the dash and high quality rear 6x9's; I don't think they will sound well together even if I install external amps and crossovers......  Ideally, I want to have the interior "stock look" but have powerful, clean stereo system. Any suggestions?  :shruggy: :whistling:

Sound Quality is such personal and subjective thing.

What I think sucks you might love.

My advice to anybody who asks me about audio is this....

Forget about Name brand and price.

Go to as many of stores that you can. Bring your own music with you,
and listen to every speaker in the joint.

Then bring home what you like best.

Ive never heard those speakers.... but my gut instinct is they are not that great.

If I had to point you in a direction it would be towards a set of Infinitys or Polks.

And for 6x9's some Alpines.

Good luck and go listen.

there are companies that make a bracket for that front speaker, then you can put a set of small round speakers in that spot with no cutting. then you can pick whatever speakers you feel sound the best.
