just a XP29H9 Auto console car.

::) There's no such thing as "just" in my book.

An XP (or XH) car excites me just as much as an XS car does.  :Twocents:

BB1

Ok its just a Silver 69.

Now I just need a 70 to be complete.  :D

Here is the ad.

I don't know what he is talking about (this is a very rare engine /block # 25364307) w/ the rare hp heads (head # 2780915).
915 heads are not very rare.

The interior is very nice, new seat covers front and back. Nice dash, am/fm factory radio w/rear speaker fade.
Frame rails are ok, mostly surface rust. Rear window rot, needs 1/4s, 11' drums. Body work is bad, paints gone.

Picking it up on Tus.

Does anyone have a running 383 for sale?

Why does he state the color was orig green?  The tag info you posted matches the VIN of the car correct?

FWIW the 915 heads are pretty rare since it was a one year only head (1967) and if they are the HP head with the bigger exh valve they are worth more as well....
Chris' '69 Charger R/T

BB1

To him the engine bay looks green, that is why he said it was green. The old silver paint has changed to a dull gray IMO. Yes the tag matches.
I'll look at the body numbers just to make sure.

Do you think it is worth it? How many Silver 69s do you have in your registry?

He said there is a build sheet in the back seat too.

Silver is the color a lot of these guys wish their cars originally were, so I see that as a good positive. :2thumbs:

Congrats & post 'em when you get it! :icon_smile_cool:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

The guy just called me out of the blue too, I just can't believe it.

I really hope I can keep it, time will tell, maybe it was ment to be mine.  :shruggy:

I'm going over there to pay for it, I'll snap some pics tonight.

I sure will Chris.

My plans are to tow it to my house today.  :yesnod:

More fun, pics and updates to come.

He said cold.  :D

The former owner look rather sad yesterday. The guy had it for 10 years and had fun with it. I can feel his pain as he will see it go for the last time. Been there buddy, I know the feeling well.

Now it is in our DC family,... Please welcome home... the newest Dodge Charger...

The guy was right, the silver under the hood does look a little green. Must be old age fungus.

terrible one

HELL YES! I know the feeling! Bringing it home for the first time, exploring it all up and down, getting up in the middle of the night to go look at it because you can't sleep ( . . . maybe that was just me) BEAUTIFUL! Congrats on the ownershipl!

NICE!!!

And I know how it feels to see one of my cars go down the road.... :rotz:

Man, That old gal has a ton of potential! Good looking automobile you have there!

BB1

You guys are great, thanks.

I feel like it is my first date with my 1st 69. Lots of ghosts coming back to me like a chill of a horror movie.
Keep your mind out of the gutter.  :smilielol:

My 68 is still being worked on at the body shop; I just hope the play nice together. I feel like a daddy.

This will be a silver Charger again for sure.

Looks like it could use a frame caps on the pass side, nothing major found , no trunk floor is the worst.

I can get it running for the cruise, all I need is some small parts and a running 383 engine.

Dang car already went through a red light!

That car reminds me of my dad's old '69.  His was red and had the hood scallops painted black like that.

How much if I may ask :popcrn:? Nice score, she should be a beaut! Silver is a great color on a 69.

BB1

$7750.00 I bet I can get it running for under 9000.

It needs wheels and tires, carpet, front seats redone, a 383 engine, belts and hoses. Might need a radiator eventually.

I'd like a new engine harness, newer Alt gauge, rear springs and shocks, washers, grommets, kick down linkage.

Some body work to the 1/4 and trunk floor and rear window will be made soon. Small repairs here and there.

This Dodge Charger XP29H9 is deemed to be in good to fair condition.  ;D

Brakes are being redone as of this week.

Haa haaa  :nana:

I need a running 383 engine, any rebuilt or used one will do. Fuel pump, engine mounts.

I have a 1967 440 complete engine I am willing to trade. It has 915 heads which is one year only.
Or cash $500. does not run.

Steel black rims, police or other type with used tires. Auto kick down linkage.

If I just had an engine and a bunch of guys, it could be done in a few days. Maybe we can have a beer weekend at my house.

Call all Mafia members this is an emergency ;)

Thanks Jamey

MOPARHOUND!

Great score!  Silver too.

I emailed the seller a few months back, thinking it might be a Green/Green car, and he emailed back it had a black interior, which made it tempting.  He gave no indication the car was originally silver.  I emailed him again about coming to look at it, but no response.  A few weeks later it was back on Craigslist again, and the seller was complaining about an overseas buyer that backed out.   Then he lowered the price, but I've too many projects now.

Thought it was fairly priced for buyer and seller, given the condition and what it needs.  Glad it went to a good home.

I've got a 383 from a 68 C-body in the garage, mileage unknown, if you're interested.  It was running when pulled.  A guy was planning on demo-derbying the car, and wanted to run his brand X engine and trans in the C-barge in the derby.

RD, I pulled the trans out today, he said it worked fine.

MH, Let me have a look at your 383, is it a 4V manifold?
This guy just called me out of the blue, and I just got off work so I ran down to see it. He was getting scammed by overseas people left and right.
He had no knowledge of it being Silver, but I found out what A4 is and that was all it took.  :coolgleamA:

The 440 is in pieces, but let me know if anyone wants it.
