I got this old carter AFB, and it does not have counter weight secondary air valve and doesn't have porvision for any kickdown linkage. The numbers on the bottom edge are 3644S, looks very small like a 450-500 CFM. Does anyone have any idea of what this was used for

   So that is what the little bugger came from. Thanks,  .  It seemed a bit weird to me, becuase it didnt have the counter weights etc.. and I kinda thought for a second it might have been off of a dual quad setup of some sort, but I guess not.

The early C and Y body cars have mechanical throttle linkage that pushes the carb open from the bottom of the carb lever rather than pulling from the top, and the transmission linkage is actuated by the gas pedal rather than the carb.

Hard to fit on a later cable throttle.
