I found an auction on ebay for a Satellite cop car. The guy claimed that it was from an upcoming remake of Vanishing Point. I found a little info on Wikipedia, apparently writer and director Richard Kelly is working on it. Anyone have anymore info? On Wikipedia it mentions it under the remake heading of Vanishing point and for the director it is mentioned in his filmography.

I looked at IMDB.com and found nothing of it. Plus.  I find it hard to believe that with new challenger coming out that they would use old cars. Also. The car is located in the east. I would speculate that the film would be shot in or around the orig locations.  :shruggy:

They might be doing another VP and just straying pretty far from the original movie though.  Hollywood isn't known for understanding which things in their old movies to leave unchanged. 

For all we know this could turn out to feature Justin Timberlake, framed for a crime he didn't commit, running across the south to stop a cyber-terrorist mastermind from turning off the internet to stop the earth's rotation.

Why would they do another remake? The one from 10 years ago didn't adequately capture the character depth they were shooting for?

It would be a great promo for the company to get the car out there to the public...... :cheers:

would be even better if the movie clips in the Ebay ad actually showed the car in the auction. the pics are close, but the cars are not the same. just look at the grills.
