I have been trying to sell a 98 Dakota Sport. I have someone interested in it, but they want to trade me a 1984 Dodge 600 Convertible even up.

The 600 is really a nice car, but I have no need for it. It has just over 61,000 original miles, new tires, new top, new dual exhaust with chrome tips sticking out the back, it also has a Continental Kit in it. It is also a 4 cyl car. He paid 4k for it and then added all the new stuff, so I klnow he has quite a bit in the car, but if I can't get at least what my Dakota is worth, it's not a good deal for me.

I'm trying to figure out what the car might be worth? I have $3500 on the dakota, but if that is all the car is worth I don't want to spend the money on the paper work. I've checked Ebay and cant really find anything really comparable. Anyone have a clue what the car might sell for?

Its a 4 cyl and he put dual exhaust on it!  Personally i don't the 2.5 4 cyl. engines, they are gutless and prone to blowen head gaskets. I would not trade.   :Twocents:

I forgot to mention that he has a new AC compressor still in the box that goes with it. Yeah he split the exhaust and put two glass packs on it. It sounds alright I guess but it is still a 4 cyl. I think it's a 2.2 and yeah they are prone to blown head gaskets. My ex wife fried one in a 1985 Labaron convertible that is now keeping the grass from growing in that space in my back yard.

I guess I'll just keep the truck and try to sell that.

Probably a dual outlet tip on a stock muffler. ;)

2.2's do suck, I had a Reliant with that engine...hated it. My surrent '93 Shadow has a 2.5 & it's a COMPETELY different animal. It's got decent power for the engine size & runs well.
Best $600 I ever spent, even if it is shedding it's paint. :icon_smile_cool:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

He split the pipe before the muffler and put two glass packs on it. He just called me and offered me 3k for the truck, which is probably more than I'd get out of the convertible anyway.
