Anyone know where I can buy the park light lens for my Charger? Mitchell Motors has a set for something like 399.00 for NOS and he can keep them as far as I am concerned.  Anyone know where I can buy them? I thought I saw someone repopping them,  but I can't remember who. Also, how about lower door hinges for my 72 Charger? Thanks, Lyle ::)

Nice ride!  :2thumbs: Not sure on the parking lights. Back in the early 90's when I restored my 73 Satellite I got the lower hinges from my local Dodge dealer (they should be the same as yours). Don't know if they are  still available from them or not. AMD has them coming soon. http://www.autometaldirect.com/listing.php?listingid=303&pageid=117

Those lenses come up on EBay regularly now.

If you don't care to keep your hinges original looking you can use a set from any 73 - 78 B body.

They're a simpler design.  Otherwise why not just get yours rebuilt?

Good lookin car!

That thing looks great. The parking lights are available as repops. Mine came from Year One several years ago.

PGclassics have the lenses without PN on lenses I think $115

BEAPARTS and Firestone collectibles have more accurate repro with right PN and pentastar stamping. I got from firestone collectibles on ebay ( mopar999 or kinda of is seller ID on ebay, but they have its own website too ). about $10-15 more but IMHO worths the effor because more accurate option.

any one you choose, all came with gasket but not the perfect ones, and need some mod, beside they are not right thick on all dimensions.

for what does look better gasket option go to DETROIT MUSCLE TECHNOLOGIES.

Door hinges, there are rebuilt services from YR1, and another sellers too on ebay. Need to be sure which one you have, No spring, Regular spring, or S spring kind.

Thanks for the help. Dodge discontinued both the hinges and the park lenses that is why I was looking elsewhere. I will contact the resources you have given on the lenses. I am not too intrested in buying rusty old hinges from someone else and finding out they have slop in them either. I was aware of AMD gearing to make them but I need them now as I am doing a 75% restoration on my car currently. I believe I will send them off to SMS Auto in NY who does door hinge restoration as well as hood hinges. They seem to be a good company, but I'm waiting on a quote to rebuild my lower hinges. I've included a pic of the engine in one of my other rides just for the practice of downloading pics on the site. I'm just curious as I'm new here, are most of the 1972 Charger Rallye 440 cars you guys have seen on the net automatic cars? Just curious.  Alos, do you think I would be making a big mistake to go with the 71 hood stripe instead of the 72 hood stripe? My plan was to go with the 71 hood stripe, the side louvered door stripes, put the rear trunk and ext stripe back on and put on rear 71 gull wing and frt spoiler. What do you guys suggest?  I'm not attempting to stay 100% correct anyway, but I want something I think will look good on this car. Thanks Guys,  Lyle in Montana :2thumbs:

no 72 hood decal, they were painted. Hoever does look they are being made on decal now.

you wouldn't be the first one who fit a 71 decal.

about 80% of cars on all years were auto, no matter if regulars or performance

I am doing my 71 right now and the best deal on hinges I found was from year one.  also the front park light lenses are being re-done by several on e-aby.  PG classiscs has them for around $115.  I got my light gaskets from Detroit Muscle tech.  They are on e-bay also.
Thats how I roll.

Thanks Guys! I ordered park lights from PG classiscs, and their are on the way. I know they don't have parts numbers but I am not that concerned about that issue. I will look as I have old gaskets that seem to still be good, but I am aware of the restoration house you mention. Door hinges from Year One are how much? I called SMS Auto Restoration and I can get mine rebuilt (all four) for 195.00 or the bottom two done for 150.00  Or I can give them an extra 150.00 core charge and they will send me a set of 4 for 300.00  Once I return my cores they refund the 150.00  I was just curious what prices you found at year one. Thanks, Lyle

Ok Guys, Just wanted to give an update. Got my door hinges from SMS. They really are nice rebuilds. Very solid. 200.00 for the set of four, but not many other options. These should last as long as I'm alive. Secondly, the frt park lens from PG Classic showed up. They were 105.00 plus 15.00 for fed ex delivery. They are very nice lens (even though expensive), but these DO have the mopar part numbers on them. I know some of their competitors who are charging 129.00 and say something like "other companies selling repo lens don't have part numbers on their lens." Well, if it helps anyone out, these from PG Classic that I received, do have the part number. Thanks Guys, Lyle    :yesnod:
