Leaf Spring Relocation Help Needed

I'm putting a narrower rearend in my 74 Charger. I got the Mopar spring relocation kit and followed the crappy directions. I cut the frame rails and located the boxes inboard as far as possible. The springs measure 38" center to center. When I get to the rear of the springs they don't end up in the center of the frame rails. They are off about 7/8" on each side. Here is a view from the left side. I hope the pics show.

So my question is, what do I do now ?  Do I angle the springs a little? Do I cut the frame in the back and move it over ?   I can make some offset shackles, would that work ?
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Randy

they sell offset shackles just for this purpose.  you can get them at mancini racing.  www.manciniracing.com

Mo-par performance also sells an offest shackle. Why did you use the spring location kit? Are you going to use a huge racing slick? I guess it is to late now, but I installed a Dana 60 from a 69 B body into my 73 Charger by using the offset shackles and moving the spring perches. I moved the front spring mount by making a 1/4 plate that would bolt into the stock location and welding the stock front spring mount to the plate. I have loads of tire clearance and did not have to cut the frame rails. Just a thought.. Grumpy :)

You have any pics of this??   I would love to see pics of  your setup, this is the same setup I am looking for on my Dana rear end on a 69 Charger of mine.  Thanks, Remy

the leafs can be angled or you can make a new mount for the rear shackles to keep them straight
